Tucker's love of the vibrant beauty of nature shines through.

'A Watermedia Solo' art show and sale by local artist Deb Tucker is currently on at the Meaford Hall Galleries until May 30.

The opening reception is May 10 from 2-4 p.m., for a chance to enjoy unique watercolour, acrylic, mixed media and hand-dyed silk pieces as well as refreshments. The artist will also be available to discuss her work. The show ranges from vibrant colours to pastel hues, impressionism to abstract expressionism, and a touch of realism.

This is Tucker's first show in the area since becoming a full-time resident of Rocklyn last fall. After many summers (and art workshops) spent around Georgian Bay, Meaford Hall seemed like the perfect place to start exhibiting locally.

An artist at heart, Tucker taught herself to draw as a child. Through taking various classes and workshops as an adult, she learned to "really see," and to paint. Her love of the vibrant beauty of nature shines through.

'A Watermedia Solo' exhibit is in the Meaford Hall Galleries until May 30.
