The Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC) is planning a very exciting COMBAT Golf Tournament scheduled for Friday, May 23rd at the Meaford Golf and Country Club.

This is a wonderful military-themed golf tournament with all prizes being of a military nature.

The four-man team, best ball scramble will start at 1 p.m. The $95 entry fee includes, 18 holes of golf, a cart, goody bag, steak dinner and prizes. The tournament ends up at the Training Centre for the longest shot held at the Helicopter pad and a putting contest through the obstacle course with a few additional obstacles, like shooting while wearing a gas mask or carrying a rucksack.

The door draw prize is a weekend at the Kingston Base - staying in the barracks and food at the mess - and golfing at the Garrison Golf Course.

The evening ends with a steak dinner at the mess and a seven item Auction of Military experiences- including shooting a machine gun, lunch with the CO, and fishing at Mountain Lake.

This is an exciting opportunity for the civilians in our area to enjoy the "Military Experience."

This is a fundraiser for Meaford MFRC, which provides services and programs for military family members. The entry deadline is Friday, May 16 and you can sign up at th golf club or at the MFRC at the base.
