Beaver Valley Bruce Trail Club Birding Walk. Meet at 6:00 p.m. at the Epping Lookout, Grey Road 7.  Bring binoculars.  Register with John at 519-599-5351.

At 5:30 p.m. there will be a Farmer's Supper at the Meaford Legion.  Enjoy social time and a full course meal for only $7.00.  Karaoke to follow at 9 p.m.  Everyone is welcome to attend.

Saturday, May 10

May Birthday Party at 2 p.m. at the Meaford Legion.  Meat draws, free light lunch and birthday cake served.  Everyone is invited to attend. Also at the Legion on Saturday, May 10 the Meaford Legion will be holding its final Pool Tournament of the season at 2 p.m.

New players are always welcome. Prizes, meat draws and light meal served.

Mother's Day Tea 1 - 4 p.m., Admission is by donation. The Meaford Museum would like to help you recognize the women who enrich your life. Bring them down to the Museum on this special day for homemade goodies, tea/coffee and a beautiful afternoon with loved ones while enjoying the museum.  It's a calm, relaxing way to tell her how much you appreciate her in your life.

Harmony North Chorus, Sweet Adelines Thornbury Chapter presents their annual Spring Fling Fashion Show on May 14th at the Beaver Valley Community Centre, Thornbury.  Fashions featured are from Coco Boutique, Meaford, Cecile Bead Shop, Meaford, Grey Heron Natural Designs, Thornbury, The Four Seasons Ladies Fashions, Collingwood, and The Style Studio, Collingwood. 

Also featured will be musical entertainment by the chorus, as well as our Region 16 Novice Quartet Award winner Rhythmix.  Decadent desserts, tea and coffee will be served.  Door prizes.  Tickets are $15.00, available at the door or call Pat Dennis, 519-599-6981.  Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for a 7:00 p.m. start.
