2008 Juno Award nominee Keith MacPherson and vocalist Renée Lamoureux will be appearing upstairs at McGinty's on the Monday of the long weekend.
MacPherson is a 2006 Canadian Idol top 14 finalist and a 2008 Juno nominee and Lamoureux is a powerhouse vocalist who writes catchy impressive songs. Together, this sweet and well-travelled duo puts on a cool high-energy show with dynamic flair.
Keith and Renee are a well-known duo, formerly known as Easily Amused from "Winterpeg," Manitoba with three albums to their credit. They have shared stages with Sean Lennon, Tegan and Sara, Shaye, David Mead, Jackopierce, Kyle Riabko, The Guess Who, The Crash Test Dummies and 54/40.
Keith and Renee were nominated for a Western Canadian Music Award in 2004 for Best Pop Recording alongside Nelly Furtado, Sarah McLachlan and Jann Arden. Their music has been featured on several television shows including Radio Free Roscoe, 15 Love, Battle of The Sexes and The Real World.
Tickets for this event are $15 per person with the doors opening at 6 p.m., with special guest up-and-coming singer-songwriter Lauren Best.
