Two years ago, Meaford Hospital Auxiliary and Meaford Creative Arts Association began the Ceiling Tile adventure. The groups offered the public an opportunity to purchase a hand painted tile for the donation of $10,000 to the hospital auxiliary.

Each tile is accompanied by a beautifully engraved plaque which gives the donor's name, the artist's name and a brief message from the donor, placed close to the tile.

This fundraiser has far exceeded expectations and the group recently installed its 40th tile. This tile was purchased by Krista Hauert in memory of a faithful animal Yeeha. Krista is the daughter-in-law of Isabel Comly, a former nurse at the hospital and a member of M.C.A.A. The tile will be placed in the Day Surgery unit shortly.
