Letter was amusing but grossly inaccurate

I wish to commend your impartiality in printing the amusing and grossly inaccurate letter that tells us the "real causes" for our climate crisis. But your readers should not take my word or his for the causes of climate change.

Perhaps your readers should read the 500-page report just released by Mr. Harper's Health Canada titled,Human Health in a Changing Climate: A Canadian Assessment of Vulnerabilities and Adaptive Capacity.

It says, "Risks to the health of Canadians from natural hazards and extreme weather will increase as the climate continues to change." and unfortunately it is not because of sunspots, but human-caused climate change.

The elderly, young children and those with the lowest incomes will be most affected, the report goes on to say. Yes, once more the excesses of the rich that caused climate change to begin with will beat into the ground those that are most vulnerable.

Lastly, Soviet history, music and poetry has been of great interest to me for the last 20 years, and I expect that I have read more on the subjects than your writer.  Before this person continues to belittle himself further, he should read the Pulitzer prize-winning 677-page, The Gulag: a History by Anne Applebaum.

Eighteen million people passed through those concentration camps. There is not a "socialist"  environmentalist, as the writer calls them, who would have survived that horrific system. He insults the memories of millions with his cartoon-like diatribe.
