OPP investigate attempt to torch pick-up

Grey County OPP is investigating an arson that occurred late Friday night or early Saturday morning May 2. Police were called to the to the parking lot at Ice River Springs water bottling company situated on Grey Road 2 in Feversham (Grey Highlands) regarding a report that the side window of a pickup truck had been smashed. On arrival the officer discovered that the interior driver's seat, steering column and a section of roof liner were burnt. The owner of the truck indicated that the damage had occurred sometime between 11 p.m. and 3:20 a.m. Anyone who might have seen activity on the lot during those hours or with information that might assist is asked to contact Grey County OPP or Crime Stoppers. Constable Steve Merrifield is the investigating officer.
