On April 3 and 4, 85 students from Georgian Bay Secondary School took a stand to fight hunger, poverty and injustice by participating in World Vision's 30 Hour Famine. We would like to thank the community for their generous contributions; this year we reached a new record, raising $7,530 to help fight poverty around the world.

We would also like to thank the generosity of the following businesses who donated food for our 'feast': New Orleans Pizza, Bugosia's, Dairy Queen, Bill's Valu-Mart and McGinty's. Special thanks also goes the Higginson family for their donations, and to the chaperones who supervised the event. Thanks also to the members of SAVE (Students Against Violence Everywhere) for their organization of this memorable event.
