Grey County OPP is investigating a break, enter and theft to a currently unoccupied residence on Highway 26 in the Municipality of Meaford.

The residence is situated on Highway 26 in the area of the Bayview Hill, just west of the town of Meaford. It occurred sometime between May 31 and yesterday June 2 at about 6:30 pm when it was discovered. A door had been pried open to gain entry.

The culprit(s) stole furniture and other household articles including a wooden rocking chair, two wooden table (one antique), 2 lamps, a cabinet with contents, a mirror, china pieces, silverware, pictures, a Duncan Fife table, a record player and an antique foosball table.

It is apparent that a truck or trailer would have been required.

Anyone with information that might assist is asked to contact Grey County OPP or Crime Stoppers. Constable Alison Scott is the investigating officer.
