Thursday, June 18 around 1 p.m. racers will run the Bruce Trail on top of Blue Mountain and into Pretty River valley.

Canadian adventure athletes will run over the mountain for part of the near 900 km trek for the Blaze Niagara Escarpment Race.
Thursday, June 18 around 1 p.m. racers will run the Bruce Trail on top of Blue Mountain and into Pretty River valley.
There are two teams of athletes running in the event. The Muscle team is raising money for the Canadian Muscular Dystrophy Association and the Mitochondrial team will raise money for the United Mitochondrial Foundation.
There are 20 runners in total, taking turns on the route. The entire route takes runners from Tobermory to Niagara Falls.
The two teams are also participating in a living research laboratory.
