Each year, senior golfers from Meaford and four other local courses play a rotating series of friendly matches, known as Interclub, at each others' courses.
Thursday, June 11 saw all clubs playing at Blue Mountain Golf & CC in Collingwood. The sixteen representatives from Meaford, having been rained out on their regular Tuesday, enjoyed an almost summery day on a very well-groomed layout. Meaford golfers fared quite well on the prize list. Prizes were given to the top three in both gross and net categories. Mike Dougall had the best net score in the whole field [62] followed by Ken Fukumoto [66] in second place. Two golfers won closest to the pin accuracy awards: John Dick and Glenn Donley. Jim Neale's 90 was top low gross for the Meaford gang. Other Meaford golfers scoring well and receiving awards included Doug White, Des Dalrymple, John Borden, Pierre Lapointe, Ross Johnson, and David Burness, July 13 will see the next Interclub match at the Owen Sound Golf & CC.
