Davide and Margherita Cina, of Mississauga (grandchildren of Mary Liz and Steve Hoffmann of Clarksburg), will be among 10 Canadian athletes competing at the Kung Fu Wushu World Championship Competition in Beijing, China, beginning this Saturday, November 10.
In Canada and in other countries around the world Wushu is a growing competitive sport that demands outstanding athletic ability and endurance in order to compete at a high level of competition.
A total of 2,000 athletes from around the world will be competing for approximately 128 spots, hoping to be the ones chosen to move on to the Olympics in Beijing in 2008.
