On Sat., Oct. 20, the Pee Wee Local League opened their season against a tough Shelburne squad.

The Wolverines quickly showed their presence scoring two minutes into the game.  Our team regrouped coming back with one a minute later, with Kourtney Eagles scoring, assisted by William Keetch and Eric Maclean.

In the second, forwards Josh Carroll, Sean Cop and Matt Wiwcher tested the Shelburne netminder coming close many times but the period went scoreless.  Third period play would see the Wolverines howl their way through three times leaving our Pee Wee's on the short end.  Jacob Parkin stood strong between the pipes in this home opener.

On Sat. Oct. 29 Honeywood came to town.  In the first, Kourtney Eagles put the team on the board assisted by Bridget Smith and A. J. Vardy.  In the second we scored another when Kourtney Eagles skated in all alone hitting the top corner.  The Hurricanes struck for one at the end of the period and opened the third with another quick marker to even the sides.

A minute later Emily Smith scored a beauty from Eric Holmes giving us back the advantage.  Unfortunately, with only 14 seconds left in the game the Hurricanes struck ending the game deadlocked three a piece.

The following evening our team headed to Creemore for their first road trip of the season.  Our opponents came out strong, netting the opening marker early in the first.  In the second, forwards Hannah Wirkkunen, Josh Carroll, Sean Cop, Emily Smith, Eric Maclean and William Keetch all had great chances but just couldn't bury one.  In the third Creemore struck twice more despite awesome defensive plays from our talented trio Eric Holmes, A. J. Vardy and Bridget Smith.  Jacob Parkin stood tall covering the blue ice with a dynamite performance for his team.

On Sat. Nov. 3 a spirited Stayner #1 team came to town.  In the first, both teams had numerous scoring opportunities but couldn't cash in.  Second period action would see the end to end battles continue but still no scoring.  In the third, nail biting, edge of your seat chances, buzzer sounding, deadlocked, no scoring.  Our mighty Pee Wees settled for the point.

We returned to Stayner the next afternoon to meet their #2 team.  Our rivals open the scoring five minutes into the first, despite great efforts and chances from our forwards Josh Carroll, William Keetch, Eric Maclean, Kourtney Eagles, Emily Smith and Hannah Wirkkunen.

Second period action  would see the momentum pickup with Eric Holmes and A. J. Vardy covering the blue line with ease and Bridget Smith winning the battle in the corner.  In the third however Stayner pressured and added a couple more for the win.  Jacob Parkin had a stellar performance in net.
