The Meaford Curling Club was the scene of a ladies' early bird bonspiel on Sat., Nov. 3.

Sixteen teams from around the province took part in the event.

In the first draw, Teresa Green's rink from Bluewater placed first, Barb Kester from Kincardine was second and Dorothy Paton from Bluewater was third. In the second draw, Mary Hodgson of Beaverton was first, Olive Richardson from Meaford placed second and Leanne Webster from Bluewater came in third.

The remaining teams came from North Bay, Collingwood, Wiarton, Mount Forest and Meaford.
