It's been a busy couple of weeks for local showperson Taylor Campbell.
Two weeks ago she won Grand Champion Simmental Heifer at the London Top Meadow Show and then went on to earn Reserve Champion Junior Showperson in the Scotiabank Classic at the Royal Winter Fair.
Taylor, who is 13 years old and attends Meaford Community School, was one on 32 junior entrants from Grey County competing with 350 kids from Ontario, Quebec and the East Coast.
Taylor's classmate at MCS, Holly Smith, a member of the Rocklyn Calf Club, made it to the semifinals of the event. Taylor's parents, Todd and Karen Campbell, own Destiny Simmentals, which did extremely well at the Royal this year, winning Grand Champion Simmental Female, Reserve Heifer Calf and Reserve Junior Yearling.
