A Meaford man is facing numerous charges after an incident last Thursday night.
Grey County OPP received a call just after 9:30 p.m. on January 31, that a masked man armed with a knife had entered a Sykes St. house in Meaford looking for another man.
A man, woman and a child were in the house at the time, however, the individual being sought was not, so the intruder left. No one was injured.
Grey County OPP officers attended and a short time later located the suspect but he ran from the officer. After a brief search with the assistance of the Grey County OPP Canine Unit and members of the emergency response team he was located and arrested.
The 24-year-old man was held in custody pending a bail hearing in Owen Sound court Monday, charged with break and enter, possession of a weapon dangerous and escape lawful custody.
