This summer the Georgian Theatre Festival's (GTF) Youth Theatre will perform again on the beautiful stage at Meaford Hall.
This is a wonderful opportunity for budding young actors to enjoy the thrill of participation in live theatre; learn about costumes, props, lighting and sound. Students will forge friendships, build learn confidence, commitment, responsibility and many more important life skills.
Participation in the theatre school will also involve learning from and working with talented professional directors. This experience will transfer well into other areas of study and interest.
The Meaford Rotary has once again supported this program, as it believes in the importance of keeping opportunities and activities available to young people in the community.
Youth Theatre is a great way to build community spirit as parents and grandparents get involved in aspects of production, as well as attend the performances to watch proudly from the audience as their children shine.
The organizers of the GTF's Youth Theatre wish to thank their other sponsors for their loyal support, and hope that the young people of Meaford and area will sign up to join Robin Hood and his merry followers in Sherwood Forest at Meaford Hall this summer. July 2-12 (Academy, ages 8-11) and July 14-August 1 (The Young Company, ages 12-16)
